Family Practice

Updated 12 January 2012

The BC Cancer Agency's Family Practice Oncology Network offers a number of CME opportunities for family physicians interested in strengthening their oncology skills and knowledge:

  • An 8-week Preceptor Program provides family physicians from rural communities with the skills and confidence to support all aspects of cancer care for local patients and their families
  • Free, monthly accredited CME Webcasts on practical oncology subjects offered in partnership with the University of British Columbia's Division of Continuing Professional Development (UBC CPD).
  • A series of community cancer care workshops (Community Outreach Program on Education) each being presented in partnership with UBC CPD in 40 BC communities
  • An annual Family Practice Oncology CME Day held every fall as part of the Agency's Annual Conference.

Visit the Family Practice Oncology Network for full details on these and other initiatives.
