Treatment of invasive skin malignancies with a cotton applicator is not recommended. This method of delivery of liquid nitrogen can result in apparent superficial healing while the tumour continues to invade deeply. Should liquid nitrogen therapy for invasive skin malignancy be necessary, it can be arranged by referral to the Skin Management Clinic. Such treatment is carried out using a spray apparatus such as the CS76 Frigitronics.
