The Network strives to provide directly relevant, accessible oncology CME opportunities for family physicians in BC. Current initiatives include:
Oncology CME Webcasts presented in partnership with UBC Continuing Professional Development:
Held 8-9:00 a.m. the third Thursday of every month (except July, August and December), complementary CME Webcasts provide the opportunity to participate in topical, interactive oncology presentations from the comfort of your home, office or anywhere with Internet access. Each session is accredited by the BC Chapter of the College of Family Physicians of Canada for up to 1 Mainpro-M1 credit.

June 21 Webcast to feature Dr. Christine Wilson of the BC Cancer Agency Vancouver Centre and Lynn Pelletier of the Provincial Breast Health Strategy speaking on New Breast Screening Guidelines and the Provincial Clinical Pathway.

Family Practice CME Day/BC Cancer Agency Annual Conference:
Our 2011 event was held December 3 at the Westin Bayshore in Vancouver as part of the BC Cancer Agency's Annual Conference, December 1-3. Presentations.
This year's event will be held December 1 and planning is underway.
Community Cancer Outreach Program on Education (CCOPE):
The Network is also working with UBC Continuing Professional Development on a series of cancer care workshops for family physicians which are now being delivered in 40 communities in BC.
