The Family Practice Oncology Network exists to provide more comprehensive support for family physicians caring for cancer patients including the development of useful resources and tools. To date these include:

• a Preceptor Program to strengthen oncology skills, build valuable contacts and confidence;
• cancer care guidelines  customized to the needs of family physicians - view our recently published guideline on the palliative approach to care;
• CME opportunities both online and in-person;
• a twice yearly Newsletter; and
• research and evaluation projects to increase the Network's effectiveness over time.

Every family physician in BC is welcome to take part in our initiatives.
