Library Services
The BC Cancer Agency's Library and Cancer Information Centres provide materials and services to people in British Columbia and the Yukon primarily from its central location in Vancouver.
Named in honour of the generous donation given by the Rix family, Don, his wife Eleanor and daughter Laurie, the Rix Family Discovery Centre has a "walk-in" location on the ground floor of the BC Cancer Agency's Research Centre.
Library staff will help patients, members of the public, and health-care professionals to find information, using a wide variety of resources including electronic information sources and Internet searches.
The BCCA also has Libraries and Cancer Information Centres in its regional cancer centres in Victoria, Surrey, Kelowna and Abbotsford. Full library services are available at each centre.
A toll-free number (1-888-675-8001 ext 8001) is available for people in BC and the Yukon who are not able to come to one of the cancer centre libraries in person. Queries
may also be sent through the Contact Us form on the top of any BCCA webpage.
