HPV FOCAL Study

The HPV FOCAL Study is being conducted by the BC Cancer Agency, in collaboration with the BC Centre for Disease Control, UBC, McGill University department of Epidemiology, and over 150 Healthcare providers in Metro Vancouver and Greater Victoria. The purpose of the study is to find out if a test for the Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) can provide greater protection than the Pap test as the primary tool for screening women for cervical cancer and allow women to be screened less often.
