The Lymphoma Families Study
♦♦ VOLUNTEERS NEEDED ♦♦

The BC Cancer Agency is recruiting volunteers to participate in a study of familial lymphoid cancer. The goal of the study is to identify inherited genetic factors that influence susceptibility to Lymphoid Cancers.

We are looking for people who:

1. Have been diagnosed with a Lymphoid Cancer
                            &
2. Have a family history of Lymphoid Cancer

For the purpose of this study Lymphoid Cancers include:

  • Hodgkin Lymphoma
  • Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma
  • Lymphocytic Leukemia
  • Myeloma

Participation consists of:

  • Answering questions regarding health and family history by telephone interview
  • Providing a small blood sample (approximately 2-3 tablespoons)
  • Providing contact information for first degree relatives interested in participating
