Dr. Tai is an Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Medicine, Division of Gastroenterology at UBC and a Senior Scientist in Michael Smith's Genome Sciences Centre, BC Cancer Agency.
She obtained her combined MD/PhD degree from the University of Toronto followed by post-doctoral fellowship at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, Harvard Medical School.
Her current research interests focus on understanding chemotherapy resistance and metastasis in gastrointestinal cancers (colon, pancreatic, liver, stomach) using high throughput genomics and proteomics approaches to identify potential therapeutic targets for the treatment of these therapy refractory cancers.
