Dr. Victor Ling is the Assistant Dean of Cancer Research at the University of British Columbia's Faculty of Medicine, as well as Professor at the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology and the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine. Among his many other involvements, Dr. Victor Ling is Co-Director of the Centre for Integrated Genomics and serves on a variety of cancer-related committees and boards.
His research focuses on understanding the mechanism of resistance to anticancer drugs observed in many human cancers.
Dr. Victor Ling has received numerous awards for the significance of his research including the National Cancer Institute of Canada's Robert L. Noble Prize and the Order of British Columbia.
