Dr. Ng is a Senior Research Scientist in the Department of Advanced Therapeutics at the BC Cancer Agency and an Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of British Columbia.
She obtained her BSc (1996) and MSc (1998) in Pharmacology & Therapeutics from the University of British Columbia, and completed her PhD (2002) in Medical Biophysics at the University of Toronto/Ontario Cancer Institute. Subsequently, Dr. Ng received her postdoctoral training at the National Cancer Institute, National Institutes of Health (Bethesda, MD), and at Sunnybrook & Women's College Health Sciences Centre in Toronto.
Her current research focuses on studying the molecular interactions between pancreatic cancer cells and surrounding neighbouring cells (also known as stromal cells) and how such interactions may influence response to chemotherapy in pancreatic cancer.
