Participate in Research

At the BC Cancer Agency, there are many different types of research studies underway that explore a wide range of interventions as well as the
experiences of people living with cancer.

CAMEO Research Program studies explore how best to support people with cancer, their family members, and oncology health professionals in making
informed decisions about. CAMEO also assists other researchers in conducting other research studies on complementary medicine (CAM).

On this webpage, we describe and offer links (where available) to research projects being conducted by CAMEO and by research and clinical colleagues
that are currently looking for participants. Please contact the individuals listed for details about each project.

Diet and Physical Activity of Survivorship: Pilot Study.
We are seeking breast cancer survivors to take part in a 24-week diet and physical activity program. We are looking for women who: are overweight; have finished chemotherapy and radiation treatment; and are within two years of diagnosis. The program includes weekly or bi-weekly group sessions (approx. 1 hr/session) with a registered dietitian and twice weekly supervised exercise sessions (approx. 2 hrs/wk), so participants must be willing to travel to these sessions (held in facilities close to the BCCA - Vancouver).
