Knowledge Translation - Overview
Given the Canadian Institute of Health Research (CIHR) requirement and increasing evidence that knowledge translation (KT) is a priority area for funded research, the CIHR Cross Cultural Palliative NET has dedicated both time and resources to build research capacity and knowledge user partnerships with our Palliative and End of Life Care (PEOLC) partners. In 2005, we took a leadership role with the nine other PEOLC NETS to collaborate in sharing knowledge, tools and expertise specifically related to PEOLC. This work was a catalyst in organizing a Knowledge Translation Symposium in Ottawa of that same year. For more information, view the Knowledge Translation Symposium and Workshop Report below.

Since then, the NET has continued to push the KT agenda in PEOLC. For example, our multi-disciplinary team of researchers recently invited local, provincial and national PEOLC stakeholders to a Knowledge Exchange/Knowledge Translation meeting in Vancouver. For more information, see below.
