The Technology Development Office's (TDO) mandate flows directly from the BC Cancer Agency's (BCCA) mission and goals. The BCCA mission is to reduce the incidence of cancer; to reduce the mortality rate of people with cancer; and to improve the quality of life of people living with cancer. The TDO fulfills this mandate by promoting:

	Discovery - to find out what one did not previously know -
	Innovation - the introduction of something new -
	Technology Development - the maturation of technology from the bench to the bedside -
