1. Where is the centre located?

- We are located in the Sumas Wing of the hospital
- An information desk and elevators are located in the lobby of the main atrium and the reception area of the Sumas Wing
- Please check in at the BC Cancer Agency’s General Clinics located on Level 2
- A clerk will assist you and may ask you to complete some documentation in a waiting area
- If you were not pre-registered by phone, a clerk will help you complete your registration
- If you need assistance, a volunteer or clerk will be available to escort you to your first appointment
2. Where can I park?
The parking entrance is on Marshall Road. You can park in the lot by the entrance to the ambulatory building. This is the closest parking lot to the Sumas Wing, where the BC Cancer Agency’s Abbotsford Centre is located. Parking meters are located at each entrance to the building.
There are many handicap spots available by the main entrance as well as a taxi waiting area.
At ARHCC special rate Parking Passes are available for long-term patients of the BC Cancer Agency. These passes are valid only for the period issued and non-refundable. The pass is applicable for parking on the ARHCC property only and does not guarantee a spot.
3. Where to get parking passes and what is the required ID?
Where to get parking passes? : Passes can be purchased from the parking ticket machines in the visitor parking lots. PLEASE USE THE SENIORS RATE ON THE MACHINE, TO RECEIVE THESE RATES.
As this rate applies only to BCCA long-term patients, please show your BCCA Appointment Card if requested, to the Parking Ambassador.

5. How to pay?
The machines accept credit cards or cash (exact change only). For in and out privileges, please display ticket on dash.
Regular parking charges in the ARHCC visitor lot are $2.75 for the first hour, $5.50 for 2 hours, $8.75 for 12 hours, $35 for 1 week, and $70 per month.
Parking Pass Enquiries: Should be directed to Anadi Puri, Impark, Operations Supervisor, 604-420-6446 ext. 24., indicating your inquiry is regarding Lot #1525.
6. What are the hours of the Abbotsford Centre?
The hours of the Abbotsford Centre are 8:00 to 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday.
Administration: 8:30 to 4:30, Monday to Friday.
Radiation Therapy: 8:00 to 4:30, Monday to Friday.
Chemotherapy: 8:00 to 4:30, Monday to Friday.
Appointment Desk: 8:30 to 4:30, Monday to Friday.
7. Can I get help with transport to the centre?
If you need assistance with airfare or ferries for your visit to the centre, you should contact your doctor to arrange for a Travel Assistance Form (TAPS). There is funding available through the Ministry of Health to assist with the cost of airfare and ferries. If further assistance is needed with the cost of airfare, please contact your Regional Canadian Cancer Society office to apply for assistance with Emergency Aid. The number for the Fraser Valley is 604.533.1668 or toll-free at 1.888.222.2240.
In Greater Vancouver, Fraser Valley and Vancouver Island Regions there is also a volunteer driver program to assist you in getting to your treatment. If you do not have any alternatives to get to your treatment, please contact your Regional Canadian Cancer Society Office to arrange for a ride.
The Freemason Driver Program can be utilized to arrange for airport pickups or, if you live in Abbotsford, Chilliwack, Hope, Langley, Mission, Tsawwanssen, Surrey or White Rock/South Surrey, for a ride to your treatment. They can be reached at 1.888.222.2240.
Please note that for all Volunteer Driver arrangements, either Canadian Cancer Society or Freemason, there must be 24 hours advance notice to arrange for dispatch.

8. Where can I eat in the centre?
The restaurant is located on Level 1 and is open from 6:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., seven days a week. Cash, debit and credit are all accepted. Vending machines with snacks and drinks are also located outside the cafeteria and can take bills.
9. Is there a bank machine located in the centre?
There is a bank machine available in the main atrium (cash withdrawals only).
10. How can I find out about job opportunities at the centre?

You are encouraged to bring an interpreter if you need help speaking with the staff, or an interpreter can be requested from the Patient and Family Counselling Department at 604.851.4733 or 1.877.547.3777 (B.C. toll-free).

The Appointment Booking Desk at 604-851-4710 extension 645301. The hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30 to 4:30. To change a Radiation Therapy appointment, please call the Radiation Booking Desk at 604-851-4706.
