Starting with your first visit to CCSI, and continuing during your appointments, you will have an oncology primary nurse. He or she is someone who has received additional training for providing care to cancer patients. If you are to receive chemotherapy, an oncology nurse will provide your treatment.

Each patient has a primary oncology nurse and we try to schedule your appointments so you can see the same nurse each time you visit the Centre. As your nurse is knowledgeable about your particular cancer and the care being offered, he or she is a good contact person if you have questions or concerns.

You'll find our nursing staff to be a great source of information about coping with cancer treatment. You can ask them to explain technical terms or to put you and your family members in touch with other professionals at CCSI. They'll provide support and information to you and your family throughout your time at the Centre.
