Brain Tumour Support Group
This support group, for patients and caregivers, gives member an opportunity to share experiences and obtain information from health care professionals. Brain tumour patients, their families and friends are welcome. Drop-in sessions are on the first Wednesday of each month from 9:30 - 11:00am in the Vancouver Centre John Jambor Room on the 1st floor. Please note there are no groups in July and August.
Counselling Services
Professionally trained counsellors and social workers who specialize in cancer care provide individual, couple and family counselling services and support programs. These are available to patients, families, caregivers and friends, before, during and after treatment. This can include discussion and planning regarding palliative and end-of-life concerns.
Children's Club
This is a support group program with art activities to help school-aged children 5-12 years old who have a parent or family member living with cancer. A concurrent parent's group is also offered. The `Club' is offered approximately 3 times a year.
