Catalyst Program
Published: October 26, 2009 The Catalyst Program, coordinated by the Vancouver Island Research and Development Advisory Committee (VIRAD), was launched in 2006 with the goal of catalyzing new ideas through small research teams.
The program provides seed money and mentorship to promising research projects within the Vancouver Island Centre after an annual submission of proposals to VIRAD and VIRAD-mediated internal review. Funding has mainly been used for support staff salaries and equipment and drug costs.
