Distance Art Therapy Group for Young Adults

As a young adult with cancer, your needs are unique, and it may be difficult to find others to connect with. Here, you will be able to connect with other young adults with cancer from across the province.

Who?
Anyone between the ages of 19 and 40ish. You may be recently diagnosed with cancer, in treatments, or post-treatment. You will meet with an art therapist via Skype.

What?
An opportunity to connect with others and try your hand at a few easy art activities. This is our first ever Distance Art Therapy Group for Young Adults!

How?
Using Skype for Business (a more secure version of Skype). It is free and easy to use from your phone, tablet, or computer. Each week, you will be provided with a simple art exercise to complete either on your own time, or during our Skype session.

Why?
Art therapy has been proven to be a relaxing and empowering experience for people with cancer. It can also help you express yourself (you don’t need to be an artist to try it—or even be able to draw more than a stick man!). And Skype is a great way to connect with other people from the comfort of your own home.

When?
Upcoming group dates are to be determined. Please email or call 604-877-6000 ext. 672184 for more information.
