Patients will now receive a lab requisition for a FIT in the mail, which they can take to the lab for pick-up. Previously, they had to see their primary care provider to obtain a requisition.
By improving the reminder process, the
Colon Screening Program is removing barriers and increasing accessibility to this important, potentially life-saving screening test.
Please note that these changes do not apply to patients in the Northern Health region.
