Infection and Cancer Prevention

Worldwide, infections are known to cause a relatively small percentage of cancers. However, where a link between a viral, bacterial, or parasitic agent and cancer is known, you can take steps to protect yourself.

The Human Papillomavirus (HPV) is one of these infections and is sexually transmitted.

    • Reduce Your Risk - Information on what you can do to reduce your cancer risk from HPV.
    • Resources - Where to find more information about HPV.

  2. Soon we will also be providing information on Hepatitis-C infection and the increased risk of liver cancer that it brings.
