Support Programs

Get the information and support you need before treatment, during treatment and beyond.
You can participate in a support program online or at BC Cancer – Prince George. Programs currently offered include:

Children's program

Children's program sessions are offered throughout the year, with concurrent sessions for parents. For more information and to register, call 250-645-7330 or toll-free (within BC) 1-855-775-7300.

Look Good Feel Better

Run by trained volunteers, the Look Good Feel Better program offers sessions monthly at the Kordyban Lodge. For more information and to register, call 250-564-0885 or visit the Look Good Feel Better website.

Online cancer chat group

Cancer Chat Canada offers online groups to patients and their family members. To register, call toll-free 1-844-725-2476. For more information, visit the Cancer Chat Canada website.

Online support for children and teens

Cancer in my Family is a website made specifically for children ages 6-12. They will be ‎taken on a journey to understand how cancer is affecting them.

Facts 4 Teens offers web resources for teens to help in understanding the facts and feelings related to having cancer.

Relaxation program

Free relaxation program sessions occur weekly, from 10:00 am to 11:30 am, in the Cluculz Room located in the Patient and Family Counselling area. For more information, upcoming session dates and register details, call 250-645-7330. Friends and family members are welcome; there is no charge to attend.

Prostate Cancer Supportive Care Program

The Prostate Cancer Supportive Care (PCSC) program is a comprehensive survivorship program for prostate cancer patients, their partners and family. This program consists of modules intended to provide education and information about various topics. For upcoming session dates, please visit the PCSC website.
