Parking

Patients with cancer park for free
Paid parking is back at all hospital sites starting March 4, 2022. You can still park for free for appointments and tests related to your cancer treatment after this date.

To park for free at BC Cancer – Vancouver, please take a ticket from the parking machine and get it validated when you check in for your appointment. Please do not pay for parking.

Where to park
The entrance to the BC Cancer parkade is off Ash Street at the corner of West 10th Avenue. You can enter BC Cancer – Vancouver from parkade levels 1, 2 or 3. There is a parkade elevator.

There is an area for patient drop-off and pick-up at the main entrance on 10th Avenue. There are also two parking stalls.

Paid parking
If you are not onsite for cancer treatment, you will have to pay for parking. Parking is charged at hourly, daily or monthly rates.

There are other paid parking lots in the area. Street parking is also available.

Health and safety

The health and safety of our patients and employees is extremely important to us. Please do not visit if you have a fever and respiratory symptoms, or have been exposed to an infectious disease within the last two weeks. If you are a patient, please call your healthcare provider from home.

Smoke and scent-free environment

Smoking is not permitted in the buildings or on the grounds. This means that staff, patients, and visitors are not permitted to smoke on site. If you have questions about this policy, please email smokefree@phsa.ca.
 
In consideration of our patients and staff who have scent-related allergies, please do not wear perfume, scented hairspray, cologne, deodorant, aftershave or other scented products while visiting. Thank you for your co-operation.

Located near Vancouver General Hospital, BC Cancer – Vancouver provides oncology consultations, surgery, chemotherapy, and radiotherapy treatments for people who live in Vancouver. We also have a clinic in the Fairmont Building, at 750 West Broadway. Frequently asked questions

Yes, wheelchairs are available in the BC Cancer – Vancouver lobby and inside the entrances from the parkade into the building.

 

No, there is no bank machine in BC Cancer – Vancouver. You can find ATMs for TD, BMO, RBC and HSBC on Broadway between Laurel and Cambie. There is a Scotiabank ATM located nearby at City Square Shopping Centre. All are within a few blocks of BC Cancer – Vancouver.

The cafeteria is open to patients and their families from 7:00 am to 2:00 pm, Monday to Friday. It is on the ground floor, on your left once you pass the elevators in the main lobby. There is also a wide array of eateries a block away on West Broadway, and at City Square Shopping Centre there is a ground-floor food court.


There is also a comfort cart that circulates BC Cancer – Vancouver and is operated by our volunteers. The comfort cart serves complimentary refreshnents such as tea, coffee and snacks.
