Volunteering

Welcome!

Thank you for your interest in joining our volunteer team in Kelowna.
Information

The mandate of BC Cancer Agency Volunteer Services is to enhance the mission of the BC Cancer Agency and the experience of patients, family and friends during their cancer journey.

Whether you have been affected by cancer, have a health care career goal or just want to be involved in your community, we welcome your online application. Volunteers are a part of the multi-disciplinary team and play a vital role in the provision of high quality care and support to our patients and their family members.

There are no educational prerequisites but compassionate, empathetic, non-judgmental individuals match our patients’ needs.

We offer volunteer opportunities Monday to Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. weekdays. Please note: we do not have volunteer opportunities for evenings or weekends.

I had been wanting to do some volunteer work when I saw the ad in the paper. The interaction with patients is great and the volunteer support is excellent. (volunteer)
