​Who we are​​

The new BC Cancer centre in Kamloops is situated on the traditional and unceded Tk̓emlúps te Secwépemc territory of the Secwépemc Nation.

BC Cancer and Provincial Health Services Authority, in partnership with Interior Health, are building a new BC Cancer centre in Kamloops to bring radiation treatment closer to home for those in Kamloops and surrounding areas.

Construction is now underway on the new BC Cancer centre, which is targeted to open in 2028. 

New centre specifics

​The new BC Cancer centre in Kamloops is expected to host 7,500 patient radiation consults and follow-up appointments annually. In its opening year, the centre is expected to provide approximately 16,500 treatments for up to 1,200 patients.​

Located on the Tk̓emlúps te Secwépemc territory of the Secwépemc Nation​, the new BC Cancer centre in Kamloops is a welcoming and fast‑growing city in the heart of the Thompson Valley. It offers a relaxed small‑city lifestyle and easy access to mountains, grasslands and sparkling lakes.
