Qualifications
You must have:
- A degree in radiation therapy or a recognized radiation therapy certificate
- Certification with the Canadian Association for Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT)
In addition, within the previous five years you must have either:
- Successfully completed a radiation therapy training program
- Worked as a radiation therapist
Support for new hires
New radiation therapists receive:
- A two week full-time orientation with the option to extend if needed
- Regular check-ins with radiation therapist educators
- A personalized education plan based on previous experience
- Supernumerary status throughout orientation
