Dietitians at BC Cancer are recognized as leaders in oncology nutrition. You will use your specialized skills to support patients and their families through complex care journeys while working in a highly collaborative environment.

This role at a glance

At BC Cancer, Dietitians play a specialized role in oncology care, combining clinical expertise with meaningful, long-term patient relationships. Working primarily in an outpatient setting, you support patients across their treatment journey while contributing to team-based care.

You also help patients navigate both the medical and personal aspects of nutrition, including its cultural and social importance. This creates a role where your impact is visible, both clinically and personally.

In this role, you will:
  • Build strong relationships with patients throughout treatment and recovery
  • Work in a collaborative interdisciplinary care team of Physicians, Nurses/Nurse Practitioners, Allied Health Professionals and administrative staff
  • Promote culturally-safe and patient-centered care through collaboration with Indigenous Patient Navigators and patient and family partners
  • Managing a diverse outpatient caseload, including complex nutritional needs such as tube feeding
  • Incorporate cultural and social aspects of food into care plans
  • See the direct impact of your work on patient outcomes
  • Collaborate with Dietitians across BC Cancer regional centres as part of a diverse and supportive team
  • Contribute to clinical projects that support advancements in patient care
