Collections and borrowing

Search our online catalogue to find books, videos, e-books and audio material available at any of our six locations.

People in BC and Yukon can access e-books from home through the catalogue.

To access e-books and get a library card, contact the library to register.

Pathfinders

Our pathfinders feature librarian-recommended books, e-books, pamphlets, support services and websites about many types of cancer and support topics.

 

 

BC Cancer librarians select and evaluate the resources found in these pathfinders, with input from other BC Cancer staff. We welcome suggestions for additional resources. However, the Library makes the final decision about which websites and resources to include.

Can't find what you're looking for?

If you live in BC or Yukon, you can request cancer information from the BC Cancer Library. We will customize the information to meet your needs.

Choose to receive information by email or mail, or pick it up in person at the BC Cancer centre closest to you. 
BC Cancer staff and physicians
The BC Cancer Library provides information services for all BC Cancer staff and physicians. Services include document delivery, literature searches, individual and group training, online access to evidence-based resources and tools, and more.

Library Portal 

The Library Portal website is the main access for online evidence-based resources, clinical tools and information services.

Use the portal to access:
  • Topic guides
  • E-journals
  • E-books
  • RefWorks
  • Online databases, including:
    • MEDLINE
    • CINAHL
    • Natural Medicines
    • Lexicomp
    • Cochrane Database
and many other resources. 

Staff must sign in through EZProxy to access most online databases and electronic resources. Contact the Library at requests@bccancer.bc.ca for more information about e-resource access.
