The BC Cancer Personalized OncoGenomics (POG) Program is a research program for patients with advanced cancer. A team of doctors, scientists, and researchers work together to study how a person’s genes can help guide cancer treatment and care.
POG collects and studies genomic information from patients and their cancers to better understand how cancer grows, spreads, and responds to treatment.
By looking at both genomic and clinical information, the team can learn why some treatments work for some people and not others. This research helps improve our understanding of cancer and supports the development of more personalized approaches to cancer care for future patients.
You cannot sign up for POG on your own. Your oncologist can help determine if POG may be an option for you.
The POG Patient Working Group was formed in 2025. It helps bring patient voices into the program. If you are interested in joining the group, please contact us.
