MRI with contrast of the primary site

  • every 4 months x 2 years
  • every 6 months years 3,4,5
  • every year thereafter
  • for bulky spinal metastases MRI + Gd-DTPA every 6 months years 1-5, then yearly thereafter.

Recurrence

  • MRI with contrast of brain
  • complete MRI spine + CSF (when MRI not available use CT myelography)
