Counselling services

Counsellors are a part of your team

Your healthcare team wants you to have all the information and support you need to deal with your cancer diagnosis and treatment. You might find you need a counsellor to assess your situation and provide referrals to programs or services. You can make an appointment with Patient & Family Counselling Services at you cancer centre.

What can you do?

  • Make an appointment with a Patient & Family counsellor at your cancer centre
  • Find services through the Canadian Cancer Society Information line 1-888-939-3333 or go the Community Service Locator
  • Borrow resources from the BC Cancer library, find recommended website or chose a "Pathfinder" (topical resource sheets)
