Mindfulness

Mindfulness may help you manage the stress that comes with a cancer diagnosis.  It may also enhance your quality of life.

Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) is an eight week program modelled on the work of Dr. Jon Kabat–Zinn, at the University of Massachusetts Medical Centre's Stress Reduction Clinic. The program includes meditation and movement practices. These are designed to encourage moment to moment non-judgmental awareness.

Each session includes information and practice experience, along with suggestions for home practice. This program is most effective if you come to every session and do your home practice.  There is a one day retreat near the end of the program to help you deepen your experience.

We offer this program twice each year.  There may be long waitlists for this program.

To register, please call 250-712-3963.
