The
Hereditary Cancer Program (HCP) is part of BC Cancer. The program offers services to families and individuals across British Columbia and Yukon.
Services include genetic counseling and information about cancer prevention and screening for people at increased risk of cancer. People at risk of hereditary cancer may also be offered genetic testing.
HCP works to educate the public and health care providers about hereditary cancer. The program also supports research into all aspects of hereditary cancer.
For information on hereditary cancer, direction about HCP referrals, and resources for health professionals to use when discussing hereditary cancer assessment with patients/families, please visit Clinical Resources.
BC Cancer produces general information on the various types of cancer, including what it is, how it’s treated and where to find support and resources.
